Social Studies-(All 5th grade classes) Study the Middle-of-Year (MOY) Assessment given last week and be ready to take it again tomorrow. Make sure that you are researching topics and materials for our History Fair. The title for this year is, "Seeking Solutions to Problems When People and Nations Disagree".  

Language Arts-(Our homeroom class) Read AR library books, write the Spelling words and sentences of Evan-Moor Spelling Week5 5 times each, do Grammar Minutes Minute21 "Relative and Indefinite Pronouns" (1-10), and Daily Warm-Ups Reading Gr5 Daily Warm-Up6 "The Boa Constrictor" P14 (1-4).

George Washington (February 22, 1732 – December 14, 1799) was the dominant military and political leader of the new United States of America from 1775 to 1797, leading the American victory over Britain in the American Revolutionary War as commander in chief of the Continental Army, 1775–1783, and presiding over the writing of the Constitution in 1787.

Social Studies-(All 5th grade classes) Do Chapter 8 P45&46 (1-17) as a practice open book test. Make sure you find the answers in the textbook and study the questions. Also, please answer the following 5 questions on Pearl Harbor (what, when, where, who, and why). You may use our textbook, library books (our school's or public), Internet, newspaper, etc. Write 1-2 pages and answer the 5 questions. This assignment is due this Friday, December 10th.

Social Studies-(All 5th grade classes) Finish reading the part of L3, "The Revolution Begins" P286-291 that wasn't covered in class, do the Vocabulary P286 (1-10), Wk. Bk. P69 (1-7) and do the Geography practice lessons on globes, hemispheres, latitude and longitude. If you haven't finished the Renzulli's lessons, please do.  Also, be thinking of the project you're going to do for our History Fair this school year. This school year's title is, "Seeking Solutions to Problems When People or Nations Disagree". The History Fair this year will be on January 26-28, 2011.

Language Arts- Read AR library books, study the Spelling sentences and words of the week, and finish the Reading Stanford10/TAKS practice story, "The Case of the Missing Notepad" P27-31 (17-23).

Bk. P66 (1-9). If you haven't finished the Renzulli lessons (2) that are due on Friday, December 10th make sure you finish them. Start thinking about the History Fair project that is going to be due on January 26-28, 2011. The title for this school year's History Fair is, "Seeking Solutions to Problems When People or Nations Disagree".
